CAMP VANDEMERE
RETREAT
It's almost September, and we all know what happens in
September -- Camp Vandemere Retreat!! Those who have
been before can't wait. If you have not been yet, this could be the
year!
Plan now to join us for a weekend enjoying God's great
creations -- our world and our friends. Last year was out biggest year
yet -- let's try to break our record again this year!
YOUTH PROGRAM
In February, we started a new Youth Program that meets
every Sunday night at 5:30 pm. We are currently studying a five-week
series from Kidology.org's DiscipleTown called, "How to Worship God."
The children are having a great time and have really enjoyed it so far.
We have learned how valuable God is, why we should worship God, and some
ways to worship God. Each lesson comes with activities that help
children remember the lesson. We also enjoy the fellowship, play
Bible games, and have refreshments.
We are looking
for a really great program that will help our children learn the Bible in a
way that will interest the children. We are open to any suggestions
you may have. Please let Mrs. Gloria know if you have any ideas or
would like to help. Always, thanks for your help and support.
SUNDAY SCHOOL BUS
If you know of a child or
adult that needs a ride, please call Gloria and she will contact them and
make arrangements to pick them up. Thank you for your efforts as we
continue to build our Sunday School.
CHILDREN'S CHURCH
Every Sunday morning during the worship service, we have Children's
Church. On the 1st and 5th Sundays, Mrs. Tammy, Mrs. Bobbie, Mr. Todd and Mrs. Gloria are in
the back with the children. They have Bible lessons and also rehearse
for Youth Sundays.

Every 2nd & 4th Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m., Mrs. Dorothy
teaches the Disciples for Christ
(ages 6-12) — “Over
the next 6 months, the Disciples for Christ will be studying, “A Daily Walk
With Jesus.” They will begin as
sinners, to
become
Christians,
learn to live a
Christ-like Life,
travel a journey toward
eternal Life,
and then with
Heaven as their
goal.
Each 2nd and 4th Sunday, they will be taking home a daily plus
devotional guide. We are challenging all parents to spend time with your
children each day and help them complete their study guide, as well as to
return it the next class time.
They also have class work, projects and quizzes, receiving points as we
go along. All their work will be placed in their folder. At the end of
November, the child with the most points will receive their own devotional
guide and a study Bible as a gift. Each young person will also take home
their folder with all their completed work. I am looking forward to this
study.” Mrs. Dorothy (6-13-10)
2nd & 4th Sundays: Our older teens prepare and
teach a lesson for the 3-5 year olds. This is a great way to bring our
teens into God’s work, and there are always adults to assist.
Every 3rd Sunday is when the Cherubs, AFC and YFA meet. We have
wonderful teachers who are very concerned that our children learn about God.
Children's Church is here to teach your children about God and Jesus in a
way that they as children will understand. It is to their benefit to
attend these lessons. If you have any questions, please ask Mrs.
Gloria.
Thanks, for all you do!
